Piemonte is located in north western
Italy, bordering France and Switzerland. The northern part of the
region is surrounded by the Alps, and the west borders on the coastal
state of Liguria. Turin is the state capital. Piedmont is known for
its wine production, with some of the world‘s finest wines coming out
of this region. South Piedmont enjoys a climate similar to the south of
France, with long spring and autumn seasons, dry warm summers, and
short mild winters.
Ancient towns and hamlets dot the horizon. Piemonte does not have the touristy feel of other regions in Italy. Instead it remains as it has always been historically. Don't expect to find every menu translated into English or German! The Piemontese relish their authencity.
Piemonte is known as Italy's gourmet paradise, with food and wine having the highest priority here. Within an hour's drive of our B&B, there are over 600 wineries alone. People come to this region to experience gastronomic excellent which is not paralleled elsewhere. We invite you to discover the region for yourself, slowly, and with gusto.
